Destroy the CPU

I’m nocturnal but I’m Diurnal I guess I’m just awake ALL THE TIME! Even the moments where I try and shut off, my mind is alive thinking, composing, planning and dreaming up fictions to turn to facts.
So everything I have written since we came off tour is under deep scrutiny right now. Baring my soul under a melodic self recruited microscope to carve out the perfect songs to complement each other and lyrically speak in the cohesive language I want to send out to the world.

Today while writing I watched terminator 1 and 2
its been a good day

Music: the connection with which we breathe

Hey everyone around the world, I hope you have had a great Christmas and are looking forward to the New Year celebrations!
I’m really happy to tell you that after retreating into the obscurity of our rehearsal room for the past six months we have now signed a record deal with Warner Brothers/Sire in the USA, for the entire world!
We will be heading into the studio real soon to make our second album so soon the machinery of rock will start turning and the updates will be flowing.
Music is the connection with which we breathe our collective breath and currently we are holding in an enormous intake ready to blow out across the world leaving a legacy of melodic riffologic carnage.

Thanks so much for all the support you have given us so far
See you everywhere in 2010
Steven

Obey the rules you lose

A week tomorrow is our first show in the Uk since we played our first shows in the USA. I’m so excited! I’ve been working so hard on the second album that I’ve taken to dress exclusively in my dressing gown and I have little concept of time let alone the fundamental procedures of a standard day.
I’m so happy that the seasons have caught up with me because I listen to Christmas music all year round and now I’m rolling with the times.
Looking forward to unleashing some intense music upon you guys at the show and then enjoying Christmas at home before we set off for the journey that will see us visit every corner of the globe!
Enjoy every second and obey the rules you lose
Steven xx

Christmas home town show

LOSTALONE will play thier traditional home town christmas show at THE OLD BELL HOTEL on Derby’s Sadler Gate on 21st December

This year, the band have decided to donate 100% of the door takings to THE LEWIS MIGHTY FUND

Lewis Mighty, has sadly been diagnosed with Stage 4 High Risk Neuroblastoma; a very rare form of cancer which mainly targets under 5’s.

Lewis was only 3 years old when he was diagnosed in October 2008.

Most children who have this disease don’t display any symptoms until the disease is widespread. Devastatingly; Neuroblastoma has only a 20% chance of being cured in Europe making it one of the most deadly of child cancers.

For this reason Lewis’ parents have started an appeal to provide the funds for Lewis to travel to America for immunotherapy treatment.

This treatment in not available in Europe; and for Lewis’s best chance of survival he must visit the Memorial-Sloan Kettering Cancer Clinic in New York City.

**This show is a great chance for all those involved in the Derby music scene to down tools and get together for one night. We need help from band members, dj’s, promoters, venue owners and fans to make this event a real sucess.**

Intravenously injecting a melodic dose of rampant adrenaline direct into my musical heart

So whats going on in the world of LostAlone! SO MUCH!! I feel like I really did hook in on the tail of a shooting melodic star! Intravenously injecting a melodic dose of rampant adrenaline direct into my musical heart and then literally exploding with ideas. To me this is a castle – A castle built on the solid foundations of rock and erected using only the finest melodic mortar. The blueprints are printed up and ready for assembly and the crew are taking position for the long haul.

I love making music
